We all know how our pictures tend to get a little disorganized. Or maybe you are developing your pictures faster than you can scrapbook them? Before my wedding last month, I was looking for a bunch of pictures to use in a photo montage and managed to knock a whole photo box over!
So, if you are experiencing a problem such as this, take a moment. I challenge you to take 15 minutes and get your photos organized. Like so
and save your self a world of time and trouble when you need to find that one photo of your child or pet

I don't have photo boxes like those... but I do have my photos stored in the Cropper Hopper photo box and some others in photo organizers that have a band around them to keep them closed in case they get dropped. I don't know what brand they are but they are similiar to a coupon organizer but sized for photos. However, in the last few years, all my photos are digital and so I print them off as needed. Walgreens is great for that... I upload my photos online to them and they email me when they are done, and since they are open until midnight and are 1/2 mile away... its oh so very convienient!
I just wish I could get some scrapping done. I have all the intentions of working on them, but never pull it out. And with my digital photos, I want to get into digital scrapping. I even have a new computer, Photoshop Elements, a Dummies book to learn it... and lots of digital scrapping kits... but I'm chicken! LOL |

Yes, that is one reason why I love having 'real' photos. With my digitals, I find that I just upload them to my computer and never print them out!

i hear you. i just moved 6000 pictures into an external harddrive - yes 6000! so, i know i am not scrapbooking quite enough. But before i got a digital, all my "film" photos are stored in like a cropper hopper thing, too. and they are just sitting in my scrapbooking room waiting for paper, glue and embellishments!

My thought wih having a gazillion digital photos is that scrapbooking would be more fun because I wouldn't have to worry about "using all the pics". I could choose a few of my favorites to scrapbook and then the rest could be archived on a cd at the back of the book. For me, I keep my scrapbooks separated by year so each year would have it's own cd. But of course, they are still sitting on the external hard drive. I need to get my butt in gear!

i know, its insane! when i went to DC i took like 300 pictures and i havent even scrapbooked them yet and that was 2 years ago! and i think, well, the ones i won't scrapbook, i will just put in a regular photo album, but that hasn't happened yet either. organizing your scrapbooks by year and archiving the cd is such a fabulous idea! i need to start doing that then maybe i can get some of these pictures off my computer!

These I got on QVC and I love them. Inside has individual photo holders that I organized by subject.
